This video has a good sound, you can hear the bass. Not that frequent on Muddy's vids of this era. But you have to imagine that the real sound , was absolutely huge, not high volume, but deep, with a weird sensation of breath from the bottom. Unique experience, and that wawing sound.

The bass, Calvin " Fuzz" Jones, the way to play bass on blues, deep, powerful, sensitive. I don't talking about Willie Big Eyes Smith, drummerx they were a pair. The way to play " " with delay". ( Type this plus Margolin and you'll find the ultimate secret if you really want to play deep blues).

When he says that he stopped in 81 to drink thats not true ^^ I saw him i think it was 1986 or smth like that, the guy was absolutely drunk on stage ! Thats good he recovered and still play in 2024 ! amazing musician

That bass line was so funky that I needed a shower after hearing it.

I find it very interesting that Terry did not view his music as ska at all, but rather saw it as punk rock. I mean of course I can see where he's coming from, 2-Tone had heavy punk influence as well as ska and reggae, but to reject the notion that he was playing ska at all is fascinating.
